Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH)

Benign prostatic hypertrophy, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia is a non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland in men, which occurs with natural ageing.  The growth of the prostate gland causes constriction of the urethra, causing symptoms such as slower passage and dribbling of urine.  This condition is usually treated with medications or surgery.

While commencing treatment for benign prostatic hypertrophy, it is important to rule out any cancerous growth of the prostate gland.  Once malignancy has been ruled out, Ayurvedic herbal medicines can be given which have an anti-inflammatory effect and also gradually reduce the size of the prostate.  As the prostate gland reduces in size, the obstruction to the flow of urine reduces, and urine flow reverts to normal. The advantage of using Ayurvedic herbal medicines in the treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy is that these medicines can be used on a long-term basis even in the elderly population without any risk of serious adverse effects.

The additional advantage of Ayurvedic herbal medicines is that, while these medicines have a curative effect on benign prostatic hyper trophy, these medicines also act equally well on the kidneys and help these organs to function at an optimum level.  Ayurvedic herbal medicines need to be used for a period of about six to eight months, so as to completely cure patients affected with benign prostatic hypertrophy.  A full course of treatment also helps prevent recurrence of the condition even after completely stopping all medicines.  Most Ayurvedic herbal medicines which are useful in benign prostatic hypertrophy also act as immunomodulatory agents and therefore bring about a feeling of well-being in patients affected with this condition, who are usually from the elderly population.

Ayurvedic herbal treatment can thus be judiciously utilised in the management and complete treatment of benign prostatic hypertrophy.

An order once placed, cannot be cancelled. For exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden death of patient), we need to get our medicines returned in good and usable condition, after which a refund will be effected after deducting 30 % administrative expenses. Return will be at the cost of the client. Capsules and powders do not qualify for a refund. Local courier charges, international shipping costs incurred, and documentation and handling charges also will not be refunded.Even in case of exceptional circumstances, a refund will be considered only within 10 days from delivery of the medicines. The decision taken by staff of Mundewadi Ayurvedic Clinic in this respect will be final and binding on all clients.

The treatment package includes shipping costs for domestic clients who are ordering within India. Shipping charges are extra for international clients. In addition, international clients will have to select a minimum of 2 months' order since this will be the most cost effective and practical option.

With a full course of treatment, most patients get cured or improve significantly. Our treated patients have remained symptom free for several decades after treatment.
