Depression

Chronic depression, as the name suggests, is mild to moderate depression which persists for long durations, sometimes for years together.  The symptoms of chronic depression may not be very intense, but include persistent feelings of sadness, helplessness, hopelessness, lack of sleep, appetite and energy, a lack of interest and concentration in day-to-day activities, persistent physical complaints, and occasionally, thoughts of death or suicide.  A disorder of the neurotransmitters in the brain, stress, chronic illnesses, the need for long-term medication, and maladjustments in work or relationships may contribute to chronic depression.

Ayurvedic herbal treatment for chronic depression is aimed at treating the known cause of the condition, as well as giving medicines to strengthen the nerve cells and the neurotransmitters in the brain, as well as giving medicines to increase the confidence and vitality of the affected individual.  Ayurvedic herbal medicines which have a specific action on the brain are used in high doses for prolonged periods, in order to treat the dysfunction and any possible disorder in the brain.  Ayurvedic mood stabilizing medicines are also used along with the above-mentioned medicines, in order to uplift the mood of the affected individual, and reduce feelings of sadness, helplessness and hopelessness.

Most individuals affected with chronic depression, depending upon the severity of the condition, require Ayurvedic herbal treatment for periods ranging from two to six months, in order to get complete relief from this condition.  Ayurvedic herbal treatment can significantly alter the life of individuals affected with chronic depression, and can bring about a dramatic change in the quality of life of such people.

An order once placed, cannot be cancelled. For exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden death of patient), we need to get our medicines returned in good and usable condition, after which a refund will be effected after deducting 30 % administrative expenses. Return will be at the cost of the client. Capsules and powders do not qualify for a refund. Local courier charges, international shipping costs incurred, and documentation and handling charges also will not be refunded.Even in case of exceptional circumstances, a refund will be considered only within 10 days from delivery of the medicines. The decision taken by staff of Mundewadi Ayurvedic Clinic in this respect will be final and binding on all clients.

The treatment package includes shipping costs for domestic clients who are ordering within India. Shipping charges are extra for international clients. In addition, international clients will have to select a minimum of 2 months' order since this will be the most cost effective and practical option.

With a full course of treatment, most patients recover completely or improve significantly. Best results are seen with a combination of Ayurvedic oral medications and Panchkarma treatment modalities.
