Hepatitis B Virus Infection

Hepatitis B is infection of the liver with the hepatitis B virus, and is caused by unprotected sex, sharing of needles and syringes, accidental needle stick injury, and from mother to child during childbirth. While most affected individuals may be asymptomatic, this condition can cause symptoms like jaundice, fatigue, abdominal pain, fever and joints pain. In chronic, active and untreated patients, the condition may cause serious problems like liver scarring, liver failure, liver cancer, kidney disease, and inflammation of arteries.

Screening of susceptible population, vaccination of vulnerable subjects, and active monitoring and aggressive treatment of chronic active carriers can help to significantly reduce the disease load. Antiviral medications are given on a long term basis, along with medicines like interferon which can improve immunity and reduce inflammation. These treatments need to be closely monitored since they can cause serious side effects to the kidneys and white blood cells, and may even become ineffective in the long run.

Ayurvedic herbal medicines have a significant role to play in the long term treatment of hepatitis B. Herbal medicines have strong anti-viral and immune boosting properties. In addition, Ayurvedic medicines have been clinically proved to reduce, treat, and reverse liver damage. Long term and aggressive treatment with herbal medicines can reverse mild to moderate liver fibrosis, and significantly reduce the risk of liver cancer, liver failure, and other long term complications. Kidney failure resulting from liver cirrhosis (including a condition known as hepato-renal syndrome) has been successfully treated using Ayurvedic herbal medicines.

Chronic active liver disease can be successfully brought under remission with about a year’s aggressive treatment with herbal medications. Further treatment decisions need to be taken on a case-to-case basis. For most patients, it would suffice to monitor on an annual basis using blood tests, abdominal sonography and liver elastography. Further treatment with medicines can be given only as and when required. Using these treatment guidelines, more than 90% of chronic and active hepatitis B patients can be successfully managed with Ayurvedic herbal treatment, enabling them to live their full lives without any major disease complications.

An order once placed, cannot be cancelled. For exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden death of patient), we need to get our medicines returned in good and usable condition, after which a refund will be effected after deducting 30 % administrative expenses. Return will be at the cost of the client. Capsules and powders do not qualify for a refund. Local courier charges, international shipping costs incurred, and documentation and handling charges also will not be refunded.Even in case of exceptional circumstances, a refund will be considered only within 10 days from delivery of the medicines. The decision taken by staff of Mundewadi Ayurvedic Clinic in this respect will be final and binding on all clients.

The treatment package includes shipping costs for domestic clients who are ordering within India. Shipping charges are extra for international clients. In addition, international clients will have to select a minimum of 2 months' order since this will be the most cost effective and practical option.
