Peptic Ulcer

Peptic ulcer is a common terminology used for ulceration of the upper gastrointestinal tract and therefore includes both gastric ulcer as well as duodenal ulcer.  Chronic irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa due to smoking, excessive intake of caffeine in the form of tea or coffee, alcohol intake, the use of excessive spices, stress, and medications like aspirin usually causes or aggravates peptic ulcer.

Ayurvedic herbal treatment for peptic ulcer is aimed at giving symptomatic treatment for the ulceration as well as treating the known cause of the condition.  Ayurvedic herbal medicines which treat inflammation and bring about a healing of ulceration are used in combination for periods ranging from three to six months in order to bring about a complete cure of the condition and to prevent recurrence.  The herbal medicines which are useful in the treatment of peptic ulcer are known to reduce excessive secretion of hydrochloric acid, treat local infection and inflammation, improve the resistance of the mucosa, and bring about a complete healing of the ulceration in the mucosa.

Peptic ulcer is a medical condition which is known to have remissions and relapses, which in the case of this condition is known as periodicity of symptoms.  In order to successfully cure this condition completely, it is important to treat all the known causes in affected individuals.  Modifications of vices, lifestyle, and diet are very necessary in order to completely cure the condition and prevent recurrence.  Offending medications, foodstuffs, chemicals, tobacco, caffeine, and alcohol need to be stopped altogether.  Stress is also a very important factor in the propagation of peptic ulceration, and needs to be treated aggressively either with herbal medicines or with relaxation techniques such as yogic asanas, and breathing techniques.

Most individuals affected with peptic ulcer, depending upon the severity and chronicity of the condition, require Ayurvedic herbal treatment for periods ranging from three to six months in order to get a complete remission from the condition.  Further treatment in low doses as maintenance therapy may be required in individuals resistant to treatment.

An order once placed, cannot be cancelled. For exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden death of patient), we need to get our medicines returned in good and usable condition, after which a refund will be effected after deducting 30 % administrative expenses. Return will be at the cost of the client. Capsules and powders do not qualify for a refund. Local courier charges, international shipping costs incurred, and documentation and handling charges also will not be refunded.Even in case of exceptional circumstances, a refund will be considered only within 10 days from delivery of the medicines. The decision taken by staff of Mundewadi Ayurvedic Clinic in this respect will be final and binding on all clients.

The treatment package includes shipping costs for domestic clients who are ordering within India. Shipping charges are extra for international clients. In addition, international clients will have to select a minimum of 2 months' order since this will be the most cost effective and practical option.

With a combination of oral medications, Panchkarma treatment modalities, and diet modifications, most patients get completely cured or improve significantly with a treatment of about 4-6 months.
