Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) (PCOD)

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome aka PCOS or PCOD, is a hormonal medical condition which affects women of child bearing age. Symptoms include irregular periods, excessive body hair, acne, darkened skin or skin tags, mood changes, pelvic pain, and weight gain.  Some affected women may have multiple cysts in their ovaries, and abnormal levels of testosterone, progesterone, thyroid hormones, and insulin.

Treatment for this condition is aimed at treating the known possible causes. Medicines are given to treat insulin resistance, regulate ovulation, and help with weight loss. Ayurvedic herbal medicines can be given to act at multiple levels such as normalizing thyroid levels, treating excess fat and cholesterol, increasing insulin sensitivity, treating weight loss, treating acne, as well as normalizing the menstrual cycle on a long term basis. Specific herbal medicines can also be given to treat multiple ovarian cysts and any possible overgrowth in the lining of the endometrium.

For those patients who do not respond satisfactorily to oral herbal medicines, Panchkarma Ayurvedic procedures like Basti (medicated enemas) and other procedures too can be utilized as required.

Most affected patients require Ayurvedic herbal treatment for about six to eight months, depending upon the severity of symptoms, to achieve a reduction in all presenting symptoms, regularize ovulation and menstruation, and successfully achieve conception.

An order once placed, cannot be cancelled. For exceptional circumstances (e.g. sudden death of patient), we need to get our medicines returned in good and usable condition, after which a refund will be effected after deducting 30 % administrative expenses. Return will be at the cost of the client. Capsules and powders do not qualify for a refund. Local courier charges, international shipping costs incurred, and documentation and handling charges also will not be refunded.Even in case of exceptional circumstances, a refund will be considered only within 10 days from delivery of the medicines. The decision taken by staff of Mundewadi Ayurvedic Clinic in this respect will be final and binding on all clients.

The treatment package includes shipping costs for domestic clients who are ordering within India. Shipping charges are extra for international clients. In addition, international clients will have to select a minimum of 2 months' order since this will be the most cost effective and practical option.

With a full course of treatment, most patients get cured or improve significantly and achieve conception.
